Mask Mandate Remains in Place
Late afternoon, on April 19th, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey rescinded orders for a mask mandate in schools. The new order passes the responsibility to local district leaders to make decisions on masks. Liberty Elementary School District will evaluate health, legal, insurance, staffing, and assessment factors that could be impacted by a change in mask requirements. The Governing Board will make a decision on whether to lift the mask mandate in Liberty District at the April 26th Governing Board meeting.
