The intent of
Child Find under both federal and state requirements is to ensure that all
children ages birth - 21 years with delays or disabilities are identified,
located and evaluated in order to receive needed early intervention supports or
special education services. Public agencies responsible for providing these
supports and services are obligated to actively search to "find"
children who may be eligible and conduct an eligibility determination process
that includes screening and evaluation according to state established

Liberty Elementary
School District is offering FREE
DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS for children between the ages of 2 yrs. 9 months
- 5 years old who live in the Liberty Elementary School District. These screenings include the developmental areas of speech and
language, hearing, vision, motor skills, cognitive skills, behavior, and social
development and are conducted by appointment
only on the following Wednesdays:

If you are the parent
of a preschool child or know of a preschool child with suspected developmental
delays, please contact
the Special Services Department to schedule a screening: (623) 474-6671. You will be informed of the required paperwork to submit to the district office at that time. All screenings take place at Liberty Elementary School.
